The difference is the valve on top. The CLACK is a premium valve that has been in the industry for 20 years and has a reputation for reliability, which is why it costs a bit more. The Aqua Filter model is the budget friendly option and does the same job.

The softener is fitted where the mains water comes into the house, usually the utility room, the garage or a press near the kitchen. It is a cabinet unit, so it stands on the floor and needs a power socket and a drain nearby.
Both models can be fitted outside if your mains valve is reachable. If a unit goes outside we recommend a weatherproof box over it.

Very little. The engineer arrives with every part and tool needed, so you do not have to buy or arrange anything. The water is off for a short while during the fit, then the softener is set to run as efficiently as possible for the number of people in your home.
Yes. Both packages include a drinking water filter and a separate tap at the kitchen sink, so the water you drink and cook with comes through the filter. Softened water goes to everything else: the showers, the washing machine, the dishwasher and the hot water system.
Both models use salt. The CLACK gets through roughly 5 bags a year and the Aqua Filter roughly 8, though it varies with how many people are in the house, how hard your water is and how the softener is set.
Electricity is not worth counting. A softener costs less than €2 a year to run.
